Our PEOPLEFIRST MATRIX will help you to create an organisation full of belief and belonging by identifying where you are on your journey to that goal. It draws on the collective learning of the last nine years identifying, and working with, the world’s most inspiring places to work. This has been captured in a powerful methodology we call COMPASS. Our consulting team will use COMPASS to help you identify the most effective route to reach your destination with greater certainty and speed.

By using these six pillars to guide your actions, we will help you to create a holistic employee experience that is the hallmark of an ‘inspiring workplace’.
COMPASS will ensure that every facet of an employee’s life at work underpins both personal and organisational success.
By starting out to create a company that provides recognition to organisations trying to create inspiring places to work, we’ve created a global movement that is changing the world by transforming the way organisations work.
As more organisations recognise the need to create shared belief and a strong sense of belonging, we expect them to embrace the power of our COMPASS approach to drive a sustainable advantage for their organisation.

Inspiring Workplaces Consulting is the consulting arm of Inspiring Workplaces. Our goal is to accelerate the pace at which organisations can create a holistic employee experience that is the hallmark of an 'inspiring workplace'.
Our experts will use the IW Matrix and the COMPASS method to guide clients on their purpose-driven journey. We will help them build an employee experience that is fuelled by belief and belonging to create a PeopleFirst organisation that delvers sustained value to all its stakeholders.
CEO & Founder
Matt spent the first ten years of his career, living and working in London, Sydney and Boston helping organizations communicate with their people and customers. It was near the end of this period he began focusing on the CX and ultimately the number one influence on it…the employee experience.
The lack of appreciation of and investment in the EX by leaders and businesses drove Matt to invest all he had in the world to create The Employee Engagement Awards. To recognize and tell the stories of those that dared to try new things. Things that would enhance the people experience for the benefit of both them and the organization. Over the next five years The EE Awards evolved into a global community, an academy, a content hub, and inspirational events.
So, in 2020 he brought it all under the Inspiring Workplaces banner - an organization that wants to change the world by creating PeopleFirst organisations.
Head of Consulting
Prior to IW, Ruth spent 16 years in learning and organisational development working as a trainer and change agent in global businesses – Christie’s, Mitie and News Publishers.

Highly passionate about bringing like-minded people together to focus on the positive impact that PeopleFirst cultures have on business success, Ruth is a conference host and speaker, qualified coach, consultant and mother to three young boys.
